Core Team

The Core Team drives the strategic direction, operational management, and global growth of the International Seamounts Initiative. Our central activities include:

• Strategic Direction & Co-Design: Shaping the foundational concepts, scientific frameworks, and long-term vision of the program.

• Coordination & Management: Overseeing internal communications, aligning working groups, and managing planning committees.

• Institutional Alignment & Endorsements: Securing formal endorsements and building strategic partnerships with major global ocean bodies like SCOR and IOC-UNESCO.

• Funding & Strategy Development: Executing a three-tier funding model to secure critical program infrastructure, researcher grants, and dedicated deep-sea ship time.
